12 – Multimatrix model in situ – Ex situ remediation

 

Environmental contamination rarely exists in only one location. Hydrocarbons and other organic contaminants migrate vertically and horizontally through soil, groundwater, low-permeability zones, and aquifers, creating multiple contaminant reservoirs that conventional remediation technologies often address separately. The ECOSAFE®EMS Multi-Matrix Model is designed to remediate all affected environmental matrices simultaneously through an integrated desorption, colloidal transport, REDOX degradation, and chemical degradation process. Conventional in-situ remediation systems often require separate injection wells for liquid treatment agents and oxygen delivery, increasing drilling costs, installation time, and system complexity. The Ecosafe® EMS Single Tube Dual Purpose Injection Well eliminates this limitation by combining both functions into one engineered injection well.
